Lateral movement of LB's to pursue the runners. LB stays within bags, runners stay on the outside of the bags. LB must laterally move from side to side to touch all ball carriers and will always use inside hand to touch on the backside of the outside hip. 2 parallel lines of runners, single file, with footballs, 5 in each line- 5 yards apart, both lines facing in the same direction. Blocking bag is set up in front of each line and angled 45 degrees away to the outside from the lines. Ball carriers will alternate on coaches timing - "hut " an run the ball on the angle. LB is centered between the bags and starts 5 yards back facing the runners. The LB will always face the runners and cross over to touch the runners on the hip as they alternate. LB will move in between the bags only, runners will angle 45 degrees along bag and then turn up field. Quick cadence and timing by coach to alternate runners. LB will always be moving deeper but continue facing the runners, with shoulders square.
