A good beginner basketball shooting drill. For this basketball shooting drill, while lying flat on your back, practice shooting the ball straight up into the air above you. The objective is to extend your arm straight up and snap your wrist in the downward wave. Make sure the ball comes straight back at you. Check your non-shooting hand if the ball moves to the side.
