Infield Reaction Drill

By: baseball-tutorials.com

Materials: Hard Wall
Reaction Ball

Have player stand facing a wall about eight feet away. The baseball coach will stand behind the player. Throw the reaction ball over the player’s shoulder off of the wall. Throw the ball so that is takes one hop and have the infielder field the ball without a glove. Have the players concentrate on moving their feet to field the ball in good position.

The reaction ball that I use is a “SPARQ Reaction Ball” and really takes unpredictable bounces.
